“Go Local” Campaign

East Head Café supports the “Go Local” campaign – a naturally Knysna initiative sustaining local and responsible suppliers. “When something good goes in, something wonderful comes out!”  In our never-ending pursuit of sourcing quality local produce, we place great trust in our suppliers. Whether farmer, artisan or merchant, these people are passionate about their products, we would like to thank them for providing us with quality local ingredients.

Barnies Trading

John Huxter, a foodie of note, knows what we want – if he hasn’t got it, he will get it. Fresh fruit, vegetables and great service.

Blueberry Farm

We love everything fresh and healthy – even more so when Marna or Warren arrive with a box of fresh blueberries, one of nature’s true super berries.

Ganzvlei Cheese

Dairy Farmer, Chris Metelerkamp supplies us with award-winning organic cheese produced on his beautiful farm, Ganzvlei.

Hungry Heads

Our biscotti have people returning from all over the world, or is it the coffee that has people returning from all over the world? Whatever it is, we have the best coffee and the best biscotti!

Leeuwenbosch Dairy

Gerhard, Hein and Gert Beyleveld supply us with the healthiest milk from the happiest cows in Rheenendal. Since the beginning, Hein has provided us with milk, yoghurt, support and great service 365 days a year.

Marie’s Jam

There’s nothing better than homemade jam; the summer flavour of mixed berries or sun-ripened tomatoes. Delicately made using the best ingredients and juiciest fruit, Marie’s delicious preserves are all individually made – free of preservatives.

Old Cape Smokehouse

Smoking is in – smoked salmon and now smoked cream cheese! One of our more recent finds, Simon McDonald has smoked trout for the Queen and taught Jamie Oliver how to slice smoked salmon. He really knows his smoke.

The Green Garden

We are very passionate about our greens and so is Warren. Full of positive energy, he arrives daily with the best organic herbs, lettuce and other interesting greens.
